Sunset over the Mountains

In my Westchester based psychology practice, I specialize in utilizing evidence based approaches with clients to help them become the best versions of themselves. Many of my clients are working to manage symptoms of anxiety, depression, or other forms distress and are looking to improve their day to day experiences.

Therapy looks different for everyone, as it should. my perspective you are the expert on yourself; I follow your lead. I work to meet my clients where they are allowing you to feel a sense of control during sessions. My hope is that you will feel like you are talking with someone who is genuinely interested in helping you reach your goals.

With an open-minded, collaborative, flexible, and client-centered approach, specific goals can be developed and addressed. Additionally, having someone to talk with on a regular basis outside of family/friends can be extremely beneficial. I also offer clients both in-person and on-line session options. With this in mind, I hope you will consider connecting for a free 15-min phone consultation to explore the possibility of working together.

Areas of Expertise

Individual psychotherapy

I provide individual psychotherapy to adolescents and adults struggling with:

  •  Anxiety

  • Depression

  • Life Transitions

  • School/Work Stress

  • Relationship/Interpersonal Difficulties

  • Low-Self Esteem

  • Related concerns

College Mental Health:
I provide mental health services to college-aged clients. This time of life can be particularly stressful and it has unique challenges on its own. Navigating independent living, academic struggles, and new social situations can create a lot of distress, requiring additional support.

Teletherapy:
Although in-person sessions are ideal, having the time to come to session in the office can be difficult. Technology has afforded us the opportunity to conduct sessions virtually through safe and secure communication methods. Whether a client lives too far away, is away at college, or has other concerns making it difficult to meet in person, Teletherapy options are available.  â€‹

Approach to Therapy

I specialize in utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to address client concerns. CBT focuses on the connections between cognitions (thoughts), emotions, and behaviors and the role they each play in navigating daily experiences. By developing an increased awareness of maladaptive and unhelpful thinking patterns, new and more productive approaches can be generated, positively impacting overall functioning.

Depending on client needs, I am also trained in utilizing insight-oriented approaches, focused on getting to know oneself better, through examining past experiences and relationships and connecting them with the present. Along with motivational interviewing techniques, approaches that target creating change in one's life, I work to address client needs with specifically tailored approaches.
